Young Blues defender Dan Preston has today extended his youth loan spell with League Two side Hereford United for a second month, subject to Football and Premier League approval.
The highly-rated centre-half has made four appearances since joining the Bulls, who are currently 17th in League Two after another Blues player and current Hereford loanee, Jake Jervis, scored a penalty in a 2-1 win at Chesterfield at the weekend.
Preston has one Blues first team appearance to his name. That came as a second half substitute during Blues' third round Carling Cup game against Sunderland in September 2009.
The 18-year-old grew up in Kings Norton and is a second year scholar, having been with the Blues Academy for seven years.
